The Le Soline campsite is located on a hillside with fabulous views and is open all year round.
Just 20 km south of Siena and 800m from the village of Casciano, it has 80 neat pitches for large units and 100 tents on seven terraces with 6A electricity. Many trees including olives provide shade for the pitches, most having views. Ducks wander the site whilst geese are the gatekeepers. (In July and August there are some loveliness for adults and children and many free guided excursions includes a dip in the lake). The kind and attentive Broggini family spare no efforts in making your stay a pleasant memory and are extremely hard working to this end. The elegant restaurant has an excellent menu (try the seafood - superb!) and the terraces look over the pool to the colourful hills beyond. Whirlpool for 12 persons, covered and with air-conditioning. The pools are clean with sunbathing areas, loungers and umbrellas. The site is well positioned to visit the many historic and cultural places in the area and will suit families looking for a peaceful break.
FACILITIES: The bathroom facilities are modern, pleasant and well looked-after. Use of recreation and sports facilities is included in the price (swimming pools-children’s playground-Beach Volley and Mini Football pitch and Ping Pong table). Hot water in the bathroom sinks and washing up facilities is free, whilst for showers it must be paid for. A small part of the bathroom facilities is allocated to private bathrooms that can be rented, whilst during the winter period they are heated and free. A few metres away there is a "Camper Service" as well as two chemical toilet-emptying facilities. On the campsite there is an area for groups; it has a large covered Barbecue, with kitchen and GPL, washing up facilities and 220/380 V power. Camping Gaz canisters are on sale at the Reception. A washing area is available for guest use; there is also a freezer near to the bar for guest use. The Restaurant/Pizzeria opens the week before Easter and closes at the beginning of November. The Bar/Ice Cream parlour/Sandwich Bar/Shop all open in the same period and close at the end of September. The Swimming Pools open and close according to the weather (approx. from 15th April to 15th October). In June, July and August the campsite organises several free trips with an expert guide. 3 Bungalows, 4 Mobile Homes and 7 Chalets are available for renting (all equipped with cooking facilities and bed linen) with bathroom and hot water, Satellite TV and heating in the winter. Pets are accepted.
